You've purchased your Spot Gen3 or Spot Trace, you've got your new gadget...but now how do you get it working?
You can create an account on Spot’s website and activate your unit there.
You will need a credit card and will be guided through the process on the website. http://africa.findmespot.com/en/

You will also be asked if you want to include the $20 GEOS insurance. This basically gives you $100 000 insurance to cover the cost of search and rescue if you ever make use of the GEOS service.
